How to install

In this guide, we'll walk you through how to install and activate Windows 10. Click one of the buttons below to choose your starting point:

Install Windows 10 using a USB drive

In this guide, we'll explain how to perform a clean install of Windows 10 using a USB drive. Make sure you have a USB drive that's 8GB or larger, and keep in mind that its contents will be erased. We strongly recommend backing up all your files to an external hard drive or cloud storage service before proceeding.

STEP 1: Download Windows 10

Click here to visit the official Microsoft website and download Windows 10.

STEP 2: Open the tool

Once the file has downloaded to your computer, right-click on it and select Open to launch the tool.

STEP 3: Accept the license terms.

Click on You acceptr to accept the tool's license terms and continue with the process.

STEP 4: Create the installation media.

Select Create installation media and then click Next.

STEP 5: Choose the language

Select the desired language, edition, and architecture. The recommended settings for most computers are English for the language, Windows 10 for the edition, and 64-bit (x64) for the architecture. Once you've made your choices, click Next.

STEP 6: Installation file on USB flash drive

Select the option to create the Windows 10 installation file on your USB flash drive, and then click Next.

STEP 7: Select the USB drive

A list of available devices will appear, including your USB flash drive. Select your USB drive and click Next.

Please note that any existing files on your USB drive will be erased during this process. Make sure to back up your files if you don't want to lose any important data!

STEP 8: Wait for the download

The Windows 10 tool will now download the files to your USB drive. This process may take some time, so please wait patiently for it to complete.

STEP 9: Complete

Your USB flash drive is now ready for installation. Click Finish and proceed to the next step.

Installation – Connect the USB drive to the PC

You are now ready to install Windows 10 on your computer. Follow the steps below to complete the installation process using your USB flash drive.

STEP 1: Turn off your computer and connect the USB flash drive.

Start by shutting down your computer. Insert the USB drive into one of your computer's USB ports, then turn on the computer.

The installation should begin automatically, allowing you to proceed to Step 2. If it does not, follow these steps to tell your computer to boot from the USB flash drive:

  1. Turn on your computer and repeatedly press one of the following keys: ESC, DELETE, F2, F10, F11, or F12. The specific key varies between computers, but is usually either F11 or F12. Press the key repeatedly to access the motherboard setup, known as the BIOS. You should see an indication of which button to press on the screen when the computer is in the startup process.
  2. Within the BIOS, locate the Boot Priority or Boot Order, which is usually found in the Setup menu.
  3. Click Boot Option and select your USB drive as the boot device.
  4. Exit the BIOS and restart your computer by choosing Exit and Save Settings.

If you cannot identify which button the BIOS activates, it is recommended that you contact your computer manufacturer, search online, or read your computer's user manual.

STEP 2: Install

Click Install Now to continue.

STEP 3: Choose language, time format and currency format.

Now select the language, time and currency formats, and keyboard layout for Windows 10. Then click Next and then Install Now.

STEP 4: Enter the product key

When prompted, enter the product key that was emailed to you. Click Next to continue.

STEP 5: Choose your operating system

Select the desired operating system for your computer, either Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro, depending on the key you purchased. Click Next to continue.

In some cases, you may not have the option to choose between Home or Pro, which could depend on your previous operating system. Don't worry, you will still be able to activate your license key once the installation is complete.

STEP 6: Choose the installation

Select the type of installation you want to perform. For a new installation, choose “Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).”

STEP 7: Choose the hard drive

Select an empty hard drive to install Windows 10 and click Next to begin the installation.

If you need to use a non-empty hard drive, select the drive and click Delete or Format. Then select the hard drive and click the appropriate buttons below it.

And that's it!

The installation wizard will now begin transferring Windows files to your computer. The length of this process depends on your hardware.

Once completed, your computer will reboot. In some rare cases, you might get stuck in a boot loop where the system tries to return you to the installation process. This can occur if the system is trying to read from the USB drive instead of the hard drive where the operating system was installed. If this happens, remove the USB drive and reboot your computer.
