If you’re tired of typing your password every time you start your Windows 11 PC, you may be interested in a simple trick that can save you time and hassle. By disabling the password requirement at startup, you can make your Windows 11 PC boot faster and access your desktop faster. Here’s how to do it.
First, you must open the Run dialog box by pressing Windows + R on your keyboard. Then, type netplwiz and click OK. This will open the User Accounts window, where you will be able to see all the users on your PC.
Next, select the user account for which you wish to disable the password and uncheck the box that says «Users must enter a username and password to use this computer». Click Apply and you will be prompted to enter your current password twice to confirm the change. Click OK and you are done.
Now, every time you start your Windows 11 PC, you will be taken directly to your desktop without entering a password. However, keep in mind that this also means that anyone who has access to your PC can use it without your permission. If you want to protect your privacy and security, you may want to reconsider this option or use other methods such as a PIN, fingerprint or facial scan to log in.
If you want to start Windows 11 without entering a password each time, you can follow these steps:
Open the Windows 11 settings by pressing the Windows key + I on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can click on the Start menu and select Settings from the list.
2. In the Settings application, click Accounts in the left sidebar. This will open the account settings for your device.
3. On the right side, scroll down and click Advanced Settings in the Login Options section. This will show you more options for logging in to your device.
4. On the Advanced Settings page, look for the option that says «For Microsoft accounts on this device, only allow sign in with Windows Hello for security reasons (recommended)». This option is enabled by default, which means you can only sign in with your face, fingerprint, PIN, or security key. If you want to use a password, you must disable this option by clicking the toggle switch.
5. After disabling the option, close the Settings application and press the Windows key + R on your keyboard. This will open the Run dialog box, where you can enter commands to run programs or tools.
6. In the Run dialog box, type netplwiz and click OK. This will open the User Accounts tool, which allows you to manage user accounts on your device.
7. In the User Accounts tool, go to the Users tab and uncheck the box that says «Users must enter a username and password to use this computer». This will disable the password prompt for all user accounts on your device.

8. Click Apply and then OK to save your changes. You will be prompted to enter the user name and password for the account you want to use to log in automatically. For example, if you are using a Microsoft account, enter your e-mail address and password. Click OK to confirm.
9. Restart your device and enjoy Windows 11 without entering a password.
